Nucor-Yamato invests in $75m QT line
Nucor-Yamato Steel Company is adding a $75 million quench-and-temper line at its Blytheville, Arkansas, structural minimill, according to a company statement.
Nucor-Yamato, a joint-venture between US steelmaker Nucor and Japanese firm Yamato Kogyo Co, will attach the line to its 1.4 million short tons/year Mill 2 at the facility. Commissioning is expected to wrap up in the second half of 2016, Kallanish understands.
