Nucor ups sheet, plate prices
Nucor is adding its weight to the push for higher sheet prices and concurrently hiking plate prices, Kallanish learns from customer letters.
In line with the opening announcement made last week by NLMK, Nucor is hiking all hot-rolled, cold-rolled and galvanized sheet products by $40/short ton. Additionally, Nucor’s plate products are going up by $30/st.
The increases are effective immediately on all new, non-contract orders, Nucor says in its letter.
