Nucor ups rebar, merchant bar prices
US steel producer Nucor has hiked its base prices for rebar, merchant bar and structural products, Kallanish reports.
Via customer letters, Nucor raised its rebar base price by $40/short ton and its merchant and structural base prices by $25/st. The increases are effective 10 January, but current orders will be price protected through 1 February.
