Nucor ups beam scrap surcharge
Nucor has nearly doubled its beam scrap surcharge for April-May orders, Kallanish learns from a customer price list.
The surcharge effective April 18 is now $98/short ton, up from March 21’s effective surcharge of $48/st. Surcharges are typically set mid-month.
The latest scrap surcharge is the highest this year. In December, the effective scrap surcharge was nil.
