Nucor supports US sheet hike
US steelmaker Nucor has added its weight to the push for higher sheet base pricing, Kallanish learns from a customer letter.
The increase is a flat minimum of $40/short ton on all hot-rolled, cold-rolled and hot-dipped galvanized products, effective immediately.
It follows ArcelorMittal’s setting of new minimum base prices of $625/st for hot-rolled and $825/st for cold-rolled and galvanized substrate.
All applicable surcharges will continue to apply.…
