Nucor Steel Gallatin starts new strip line
Nucor Steel Gallatin has begun production of processed hot-strip with its new pickling and galvanizing line from industrial equipment supplier SMS group, Kallanish learns from an SMS release.
The initial start-up of the line began in September at the Gallatin facility in Ghent, Kentucky.
The line features SMS’ heat-to-coat technology and is rated for 500,000 short tons/year of galvanize hot-strip.
