Nucor attempts HRC price increase after multi-month slide
Nucor Sheet Group has issued a $25/short ton price increase for hot rolled coil, citing higher raw materials costs and better order flow, the steelmaker states in a letter to customers seen by Kallanish.
Nucor's weekly spot price for most HRC is now $675/st. The Charlotte, North Carolina-based company specifies that material from its CSI facility in Fontana, California, is raised to $745/st.
