Nucor sees Q1 earnings tick up on year
US steelmaker Nucor gained a hefty boost to its bottom line in the first quarter due to a healthier overall steel market, Kallanish reports.
Nucor posted a Q1 profit of $356.9 million on sales of $4.82 billion, up from a profit of $87.6m on sales of $3.72 billion in Q1 2016.
