Nucor sees profits drop in Q2
US steelmaker Nucor witnessed an on-quarter and on-year drop in its Q2 earnings, Kallanish learns from the company’s quarterly earnings review.
However, Q2 likely represents a trough for the year, and the company expects smoother sailing ahead.
Nucor earned $386.5 million on sales of $5.9 billion during the second quarter, down from earnings of $501.8m in Q1 and $683.2m in Q2 2018.
