Nucor raises plate prices $30/st
Nucor has upped its plate prices by $30/short ton, Kallanish learns from a company pricing letter.
The increase affects all carbon, alloy and heat-treated plate products, and it is effective immediately.
Rumours of an imminent plate price increase began shortly after US sheet mills boosted their prices by $30/st. Unlike sheet, however, plate prices have been relatively unchanged for the past several weeks at $730-750/st.
