Nucor raises plate prices
Nucor is upping its transaction prices for all plate products by $30/short ton, Kallanish learns from a customer letter.
The increase is effective immediately for all carbon, alloy and heat-treated plate. The increase mirrors Nucor’s mid-December plate price increase.
One buy-side source suggested that the increase is due to a coming uptick in scrap prices, which could spur the company to announce another increase for its sheet products.
