Nucor plate outlook "cloudy" in second half
Nucor’s plate outlook for the second half of 2020 is still being muddled by the uneven Covid-19 recovery, Kallanish reports.
Nucor’s plate mill utilisation figures dipped from the first quarter to the second and the company likely lost a small amount of market share due to “...a strategy to resist some of the price erosion we saw as the pandemic unfolded,” according to plate and structural products vice president Al Behr.
