Nucor plans automation upgrades at Cofield plate mill
Nucor is updating its automation and drives systems at its Cofield, North Carolina, plate mill, Kallanish reports.
Primetals Technologies will be handling the upgrades, which include improvements to the mill’s side trimmer, cold shear and plate piler.
No financial details for the upgrades were released by Primetals. The project is slated for completion by May.
