Nucor orders heat-to-coat processor from SMS
Nucor has ordered a 500,000 short ton/year heat-to-coat processor from industrial services company SMS Group, according to an SMS press release.
The processor will be installed at Nucor Steel Gallatin in Ghent, Kentucky, with start-up slated for 2019, Kallanish understands.
No financial details of the order were released, though Nucor announced a $176 million upgrade to the Gallatin facility in May that includes a new galvanizing and pickling line.
