Nucor micro-mill construction start set for April
Construction will begin next month on Nucor’s planned micro-mill in Frostproof, Florida, Kallanish reports.
Nucor spokeswoman Katherine Miller confirmed that work on the $240 million mill will begin in April and will last about two years. The plant is projected to be operational by the end of 2020 and will create about 250 new jobs. The mill will have an annual capacity of about 350,000 short tons of rebar.
