Nucor lifts September plate extras
US steel producer Nucor is lifting some of its plate extras, a sign of market movement but short of the rumoured $50/short ton base price increase that was previously anticipated, Kallanish reports.
In a customer letter, Nucor announces the opening of its September order book and includes an updated list of extras. The majority of extras from base A36 products are up $50-80/st.
Kallanish currently puts A36 plate at $900-920/st.
