Nucor lends weight to plate increase
US steel producer Nucor is also reiterating its early-November plate price increase, but transaction prices remain as-yet unaffected, Kallanish learns from market sources.
Nucor announced a second base price hike of $40/short ton, echoing the move made late last week by SSAB Americas. Both are additive to the $40/st increases made earlier in the month.
