Nucor-JFE order equipment for Mexican auto plant
Nucor-JFE Steel Mexico has placed an order with equipment supplier SMS Group for a 400,000 short ton/year hot-dip galvanizing mill for its automotive sheet mill in central Mexico.
The line will be able to process both hot-rolled and cold-rolled strip in deep-drawing and advanced high-strength grades. The line is expected to come online in the second half of 2019, Kallanish notes.
