Nucor increases wire rod prices
US steel producer Nucor has increased its wire rod prices by $40/short ton, Kallanish confirms.
According to a letter to customers sent out earlier this week, the increase is effective with new orders effective 12 May.
This price hike follows a previous $30/st wire rod price increase by Nucor and several other US steel producers in mid-January.
