Nucor hikes plate another $50/st
US steel producer Nucor has announced yet another plate price increase, Kallanish learns from a company announcement.
The $50/short ton increase is effective immediately and additive to the $80/st of increases already outstanding in the market.
Those increases – which experienced widespread mill support – failed to gain traction due to overall weak business conditions.
