Nucor hikes beam scrap surcharge
Nucor has increased its beam scrap surcharge for May-June orders, Kallanish understands from a company price announcement.
Effective 16 May, Nucor’s beam scrap surcharge is $118/short ton. The previous surcharge, which went into effect 18 April, was $98/st.
The new surcharge is the highest announced so far this year. The surcharge was nil in December and held steady at $28/st in January and February.
