Nucor eyes Q2 for further improvement
US steel producer and fabricator Nucor expects overall improving conditions in the domestic steel sector to boost its profits in the second quarter.
Nucor reported Q1 net earnings of $70.8 million on sales of $3.72 billion. In Q1 2015, Nucor posted net earnings of $67.8m on sales of $4.4 billion, Kallanish notes.
