Nucor earnings rise year-on-year, trail previous quarter
US steel producer Nucor saw its profits jump on-year but sag on-quarter during the first quarter, Kallanish learns from the company’s Q1 earnings review.
Nucor earned $501.8 m on sales of $6.1 billion in Q1, up from $354.2m on sales of $5.57 billion in Q1 2018 but down from earnings of $646.8m on sales of $6.3 billion in Q4 2018.
