Nucor completes plate mill buy
Nucor has completed its $29 million acquisition of Joy Global’s plate mill in Longview, Texas, Kallanish learns from a Joy Global statement.
“We appreciate the tremendous collaboration with Nucor and local authorities to complete this sale,” says Joy Global vice president Rodney Bull.
The 180,000 short tons/year Longview mill will continue to supply Joy Global with heavy steel plate for its mining equipment operations, the company says.
