Nucor to build new galvanizing line at Gallatin
Nucor plans to build a $176 million hot-rolled coil galvanizing and pickling line at its Ghent, Kentucky, Gallatin works within two years, Kallanish understands.
The new line will add 500,000 short tons/year to the plant’s capacity and boost its galvanizing capabilities to 72-inches in width. Construction is expected to begin as soon as the permitting process is complete.
