NSSC sustains July nickel-based stainless price
Nippon Steel Stainless Steel Corporation (NSSC), the major Japanese stainless steelmaker, maintained its July offer for nickel-based (300 series) sheets after three consecutive months of increase. Chromium-based stainless steel (400 series) is seeing higher values for the third month in a row.
The 400 series products went up by JPY 5,000/t ($31.7/t). This stems entirely from the depreciation of the yen to the US dollar with an unchanged USD chromium cost of $1.6/lā¦
