Northern European wire rod prices remain stable
Northern European wire rod prices have remained flat this week in a quiet market, sources say. Some participants however expect new decreases due to low demand.
“Prices are not dropping any more, because the market has hit bottom,” one buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish.
Domestic transaction prices for drawing-quality wire rod are at €610/tonne ($665/t) ex-works and mesh-grade wire rod is at €620/t, sources say.
