Northern European wire rod market expects new decreases
Northern European wire rod prices remain flat again this week, but purchase activity is thin due to high electricity costs. Most sources expect price decreases in October.
“The market is in the see and decide mood, because of the announcement of more and more plants temporarily stopping production,” a regional buyer tells Kallanish. “Prices for mesh are so far at the same level, but the major expectation is that they will fall next month.”
