Northern European rod prices stable amid slow market
Northern European wire rod prices have mostly remained flat this week amid slow trade, sources say. However, some participants continue to expect new price hikes amid some European demand.
“We have some new orders for beginning of November that have been placed at European steelworks, because everybody is expecting to pay higher wire rod prices for December and January amid higher energy prices,” one buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish.
