Northern European rod prices hold steady
Northern European wire rod prices are flat again this week amid low demand, sources say. Some participants continue to expect more activity before the summer.
“The market is very quiet in the last two weeks and continues to be sluggish,” one buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish.
Domestic transaction prices for drawing-quality wire rod are at €650/tonne ($692/t) ex-works and mesh-grade wire rod is at €620/t.
