Northern European rod prices remain stable
Northern European wire rod prices have remained flat this week amid new demand from steel mills, sources say. Some continue to expect prices to increase before Christmas.
“Demand is good despite the high energy costs and increased exports tariffs,” a buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish.
Domestic transaction prices for drawing-quality wire rod are at €730/tonne ($781/t) ex-works and mesh-grade wire rod is down to €750/t, sources say.…
