Northern European rod seen hiking further after stabilising
Northern European wire rod prices remained stable this week amid the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, but market participants expect yet more hikes.
“After prices exploded due to the war, high production costs and limited imports, the situation has calmed down a little bit,” a buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish.
Prices have skyrocketed by more than €150-200/tonne ($164-219) throughout March, most participants concur.
