Northern European rod prices flat, with declines expected
Northern European wire rod prices have remained stable this week in a quiet market, sources say. However, most participants expect new decreases due to low demand.
“Consumers purchase again only small volumes of rod amid the sluggish market,” a trader tells Kallanish.
Domestic transaction prices for drawing-quality wire rod are at €610/tonne ($669/t) ex-works and mesh-grade wire rod is at €620/t, sources say.
