Northern China steel mills face production curbs

Beijing is expected to experience heavy pollution this week, just in the middle of the Beijing Winter Olympics. This has triggered industrial restriciton policies on surrounding provinces. Steelmakers in Henan, Shandong and Hebei are required to bank some blast furnaces and halt sintering machines till the end of Friday in order to ease pollution.
