Northern China starts new steel production restrictions today
On 15 December China’s Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) has forecast the most severe air pollution since autumn across northern China. Thirteen inspection groups will be sent to monitor heavy pollution response plans across six provinces and cities, suggesting steel production could be more strictly affected, Kallanish notes.
