North Star orders caster for Ohio mill
North Star BlueScope Steel has ordered a new 1.2 million short ton/year thin-slab continuous caster for its Delta, Ohio, work from SMS group, Kallanish learns from a company release.
The caster will boost the facility’s output to 3.6m st/y.
Financial terms were not disclosed. The caster is expected to come online in 2021.
