North American rig count jumps by 23
The weekly North American rig count jumped during the week ended 11 February on significantly higher oil drilling in the US, the latest Baker Hughes report shows.
The US rig count rose by 19 net oil rigs and two net gas rigs for a weekly total of 635 rigs in operation. The count is 238 higher than the same week last year, Kallanish observes in the data.
