NLRB to take USW case before judge
The National Labor Relations Board will take the United Steelworkers’ dispute with specialty steelmaker Allegheny Technologies Inc before an administrative law judge, Kallanish learns from a union update.
On behalf of the USW, the NLRB will allege before a judge that ATI’s lockout is illegal and the company owes its workers remuneration for time lost. The lockout began August 15.
No date has yet been set for a hearing, Kallanish notes.
