NLMK supplies high-strength plate for Liebherr cranes
NLMK has begun deliveries of its so-called Quend 1100 high-strength steel plate to Liebherr used for telescopic booms in the construction of a new type of mobile cranes, the steelmaker says.
The prototype of the crane with 230 tonne load capacity has been manufactured. The two companies are discussing the expansion of the partnership in developing new high-strength Quend steel grades and their applications in Liebherr's projects, NLMK continues.
