NLMK ships transformer steel for Kazakhstan power plant
NLMK has supplied 60,000 tonnes of transformer steel to Siemens Transformers’ plant in Voronezh, Central Russia. This will be used to make a 220KW 63MVA transformer for the Burnoye Solar-2 solar power park, under construction in Kazakhstan.
Hot rolled steel for the project was produced at NLMK’s Lipetsk site, with cold rolling and laser treatment taking place at the steelmaker’s VIZ-Steel plant in Yekaterinburg
