NLMK-Kaluga hits record casting output in July
NLMK-Kaluga posted a 23% on-year increase in crude steel production in the first half of 2016 to 640,000 tonnes, Kallanish learns from the company.
Sales of long products rose 5% year-on-year to 381,000t in H1, including 101,000t on export markets.
In July the plant produced a record monthly volume in its history of continuous casting – 122,780t on one line. Work is being carried out to increase the volume of production at the company.
