NLMK installs PCI on two more Lipetsk furnaces

Russia’s NLMK tells Kallanish that it has begun the installation of pulverised coal injection (PCI) units on the two largest blast furnaces at its Lipetsk site. These are blast furnace No. 6 with a capacity of 3.1 million tonnes/year of pig iron and blast furnace No. 7 with a capacity of 4.3m t/y.
