Nippon Steel raises annual forecast after increased earnings
After recording higher revenue and profits over April-December, the first three quarters of fiscal year 2022 (FY22), Nippon Steel raised its annual production and financial forecasts on 9 February, Kallanish notes.
Non-consolidated crude steel output in the December quarter was 8.59 million tonnes, up 3% on-quarter and down 10.9% year-on-year. This took volume over April-December to 25.63mt, down 14.2% y-o-y.
