Ningxia Steel to suspend production
China’s Ningxia Iron & Steel has decided to suspend production of all equipment from 7 November, Kallanish learns from market players.
The move is expected to impact total output of about 7,100 tonnes/day of iron and 9,000 t/d of construction steel.
The move is expected to last until at least January 2023, and considering that the Chinese New Year is in mid-January, it is unlikely that production will resume quickly in that month.
