Ningxia to commission new premium wire rod line
China’s northwestern Ningxia Iron & Steel (Ningxia) has recently completed a 600,000 tonnes/year high speed wire rod line and successfully hot tested it. The project started construction in May 2016, adapting a set of equipment from SMS Meer to produce mainly premium special steel grades for structures, welding, cold heading, spring, steel strand and steel cord, Kallanish notes.
