Lagos authority shuts two steel plants on pollution
Nigeria’s Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has issued a stop-work order to two iron and steel plants in the state’s Ikorodu industrial area.
The order was issued following environmental infractions and unsafe working conditions observed in the companies’ plants, the authority says in a note.
Sun Flag Steel and Top Steel Nigeria received the suspension orders, while three other mills in the area received a note of warning…
