Lagos authority shuts two steel plants on pollution

Nigeria’s Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has issued a stop-work order to two iron and steel plants in the state’s Ikorodu industrial area. The order was issued following environmental infractions and unsafe working conditions observed in the companies’ plants, the authority says in a note.
