Nickel Mines starts production at Angel Nickel Project
Australia-listed Nickel Mines has begun nickel pig iron (NPI) production at its Angel Nickel Project in Indonesia, well ahead of schedule, with first production previously expected in March.
Currently, only one of the project’s four rotary kiln electric furnaces (RKEFs) is being operated. Nickel Mines intends to further accelerate the project timetable for commissioning another three RKEFs in the coming months.
