Newly-listed Agha Steel's six-month earnings surge
The government’s commitment to fulfilling CPEC projects and fund allocation to ease the housing shortage in Pakistan bodes well for the country’s steel demand, says Agha Steel Industries (ASIL). The newly-listed firm saw earnings surge on-year in the first fiscal half-year through December.
Net sales jumped 46% to PKR 10.3 billion ($65.5 million), while profit after tax surged 43% to PKR 1.06 billion.
