New scrap shortage decreases Amurstal steel output
Russian Far Eastern steelmaker Amurstal decreased production of liquid steel in August due to a ferrous scrap supply shortage, the company tells Kallanish.
Output amounted to 69,600 tonnes, down by -6.8% compared with July. Previously, it had planned to produce 75,500t in August. Amurstal also decreased June production due to a scrap shortage (see Kallanish passim).
