New Philippine longs' maker gets tax breaks
Portal Steels, a trader and stockist, plans to build a new billet and rebar plant in Cavite province in the Philippines. The plant will supply rebar to the local market as well as selling merchant billet to other re-rollers in the capacity-poor country, Kallanish notes.
